Safety of the sport

In the shooting sports, safety is primary focus for all activities. Handling of a firearm is no more dangerous than the use of a hammer or driving of a car. In fact the accident rate in the shooting sports is the lowest of all the sports and is magnitudes lower than the automobile accident rate.

All participants in the sport, undergo training which has a large safety component. This is required to become licensed. To Join BRRC, one must also complete a club level safety course which teaches both firearms safety and firearms handling with live fire.
